Whether you’re newly diagnosed, a parent or caregiver, or navigating life with complex autonomic conditions, this page is your personalized hub for trustworthy information, tools, and support to help you thrive.

What is Dysautonomia?

Dysautonomia is a group of conditions where the autonomic nervous system (ANS)—which controls things like heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, and temperature regulation—doesn’t work properly. It’s not rare, just rarely diagnosed.

Many of the patients we serve at PCARES are affected by conditions such as:

  • Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS)

  • Neurocardiogenic Syncope (NCS)

  • Orthostatic Hypotension

  • Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS)

  • Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)

  • MALS, SMAS, Nutcracker Syndrome, and more
